Invite the bot

Use the invite link from the dashboard (or /invite on the main site). Add GetPingd to exactly the server that should receive pings.

Permissions

Keep it tight — the bot needs, in one channel you choose:

  • Send Messages
  • Embed Links
  • Permission to mention the role you want to ping

Nothing else. No admin rights, no access to other channels.

Pick the channel and role

  1. Create or choose a channel like #go-live.
  2. Give the bot its two permissions in that channel.
  3. In the dashboard alert setup, select the server, the channel and the ping role.

Remove the bot

Remove GetPingd from Server Settings → Integrations (or kick it) to stop everything immediately. Re-adding later starts from a clean slate — re-link your channels afterwards.
