Troubleshooting

Login problems

  • Redirect loop or expired session — log out and back in. Sessions last 30 days at most.
  • Spotify INVALID_CLIENT: Invalid redirect URI — the Redirect URI in your Spotify app must match character for character, including the trailing slash. See the Spotify overlay guide.
  • Spotify 403 / user not registered — add your Spotify name and email under User management in your Spotify app.
  • needs_reconnect on a platform — reconnect that platform in Settings. Tokens expire or get revoked on the provider side.

Alerts problems

  • No pings arriving — check that the bot is still on your Discord server, that it can Send Messages and Embed Links in the target channel, and that it may mention the ping role.
  • Rate limited — Discord rate limits are per server. Wait a minute and check whether many alerts fired at once.

Overlay problems

  • Widget stays empty — the overlay URL only works with the token issued by the dashboard. Copy a fresh URL from the Edit tab, and make sure Spotify is connected.
  • Theme edits do not appear — they apply to the same URL within about a second. If nothing changes, reload the OBS browser source.
