Go-live alerts

Get notified in Discord the second a Twitch or Kick channel goes live.

Requirements

• The GetPingd bot on your Discord server with Send Messages and Embed Links permission in one channel.
• Permission to mention the role you want to ping.
• A GetPingd account with the platform connected (Twitch, Kick).

Setup

1. Open the dashboard and go to Alerts → Go-live alerts.
2. Pick your Discord server and the channel that should receive pings. The bot must already be on that server.
3. Link the Twitch or Kick channel you want to watch.
4. Pick the role to ping and write your message (see Message templates).
5. Save. The next time the channel goes live, the ping lands in Discord.

Notes

• Keep bot permissions tight: posting channel plus role mentions only.
• If pings stop arriving, check that the bot is still on the server and still has its channel permissions, then see Troubleshooting.
• You can remove the bot at any time to stop all pings from your server.
